Four companies - Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd (AECL), Vinci, Suez and Itochu - have submitted bids in connection with the construction of a nuclear power plant at Akkuyu, Turkey, according to a spokesperson from state-owned wholesale electricity firm Tetas. Officially, the firms had until 24 September to complete their bids.
