DIVEYEVO (Nizhny Novgorod Region), August 1 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian government plans to allocate 127 billion rubles ($5.42 billion) to a federal program dedicated to the next generation of nuclear energy technology.
"Financing will start from 2010, and will be about 25 billion rubles [$1.07 billion] annually," Sergei Kiriyenko, the head of the Russian state nuclear power corporation Rosatom said on Friday.
He said that the program, which will run to 2015, had been agreed on and prepared in all the relevant governmental ministries and departments.
