UK industry gearing up for new build, NIA reports

UK industry has the capability to provide the majority of a sustained programme of new nuclear power plants, the Nuclear Industry Association has concluded in a report published today.

Firms get set for new build

Companies involved in the push for new nuclear power in the UK reacted favourably to the government invitation to submit their plans for new build. Areva has announced that it wants to build four to six large reactors in the country.
